Tri-magnesium dicitrate contains twice as much elemental magnesium as regular magnesium citrate and is also absorbed much faster by the body. Thanks to its neutral to slightly alkaline pH value of over 8, our magnesium is particularly gentle on the digestion.

Background information
Tri-magnesium dicitrate is anhydrous, positively charged magnesium bound to negatively charged citrate in a ratio of 3:2.

100 g of tri-magnesium dicitrate contain around 50% more elemental magnesium (15.7% instead of 8-9%) than hydrous magnesium citrate. This means that you absorb more pure magnesium with a smaller amount of tri-magnesium dicitrate.

Tri-magnesium dicitrate has a neutral to slightly alkaline pH value (7-8), which is gentle on digestion.

In general, magnesium is a mineral that is essential for maintaining numerous bodily functions. It is found primarily in whole grain products, beans, nuts and green vegetables. The recommended daily dose for adolescents aged 16 and over and adults is between 300 and 400 mg.
