These magnesium flakes come from the former Zechstein Sea, which dried up around 250 million years ago. The magnesium chloride layer is now about 1800 meters deep in the earth and is therefore protected from environmental pollution. It is characterized by its exceptional purity and is considered the highest quality natural source of magnesium chloride and is still quality-controlled through constant analysis.

Magnesium flakes are formed when magnesium oil is heated to over 165 degrees Celsius. The state of aggregation of the magnesium oil changes from liquid to solid. Magnesium flakes have a magnesium chloride content of 47% and consist of 53% water. The strength of the flakes results from the strong water-binding (hygroscopic) property of magnesium chloride.

Therefore, the packaging should always be well sealed! 1 g magnesium flakes contain approx. 120 mg pure magnesium or 470 mg magnesium chloride.

Note: Keep out of the reach of children. Please store tightly closed! Avoid contact with open wounds and eyes. If you have sensitive skin, use may cause a slight tingling/burning sensation or itching.

Application: These flakes are suitable dissolved with water for a full bath, hand or foot bath and for gentle skin care.

Recommended bathing temperature approx. 37° Celsius, bathing time 20 to 30 minutes. For a full bath we recommend approx. 500 - 750 g flakes.

For hand and foot baths, different concentrations as required: eg in 5 liters of water
2% MgCl2 solution: 200 g flakes
3% MgCl2 solution: 300 g flakes
4% MgCl2 solution: 400 g flakes
5% MgCl2 solution: 500 g flakes
