NatuGena MamaFit is a nutrient complex with vitamins and minerals, developed for the special nutritional needs during pregnancy. and breastfeeding. Unlike GravidaPro from the Femme Nutrition series, which is designed for women trying to conceive, MamaFit specifically supports the period from early pregnancy until the end of breastfeeding.
MamaFit contains various B vitamins in bioactive forms that can be directly utilized by the body. Folate is provided as 5-methyltetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF) and contributes to the growth of maternal tissue during pregnancy. It also contributes to the normal function of the immune system and plays a role in cell division. Vitamin B12 is present in the forms of methylcobalamin, hydroxocobalamin, and adenosylcobalamin and contributes to the normal formation of red blood cells, normal energy metabolism, and the normal function of the nervous system. Thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, pantothenic acid, and vitamin B6 support normal energy metabolism. Vitamin B6 also contributes to the regulation of hormonal activity.
The formula is supplemented with magnesium, iron, zinc, copper, chromium, and manganese, with the manganese content adjusted to 2 mg (100% NRV) as part of the formula optimization. Manganese and magnesium contribute to normal energy metabolism. Iron contributes to normal red blood cell formation and normal oxygen transport in the body. Zinc contributes to the normal function of the immune system and plays a role in cell division.
For iodine supply, MamaFit contains potassium iodide, which ensures a standardized iodine intake. Iodine contributes to the normal production of thyroid hormones and normal thyroid function. The product also contains 50 µg of selenium, which also contributes to normal thyroid function.
Vitamin C is present in the form of magnesium ascorbate. This buffered form replaces the previously used camu camu. Vitamin C increases iron absorption and contributes to the normal function of the immune system.
Choline has been newly added at 60 mg per daily dose. Choline contributes to normal liver function, normal fat metabolism, and normal homocysteine metabolism.
For supplemental intake, our product range also includes Omega-3 products with docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). Maternal intake of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) contributes to the normal brain development of the fetus and breastfed infant.*
*The beneficial effect is achieved with a daily intake of 200 mg DHA in addition to the recommended daily intake of Omega-3 fatty acids for adults (250 mg DHA and EPA).
Recommended intake:
3 capsules once daily. Ideally, take after a meal with 200 ml of still, lukewarm water or, alternatively, with half a freshly squeezed lemon.
