Manjistha (Rubia cordifolia) is a climbing plant native to India, and its name means "red color." These red pigments are found in the root, and in Ayurveda, the color red is associated with blood, liver, and skin. Manjistha powder contains polyphenols; these are bioactive, secondary plant compounds that, in the form of pigments, flavor compounds, and tannins, influence the dosha* character of the plant.
Dosage:
3 x 1 teaspoon per day. Take with warm water between meals.
