The

nail fungus problem – what is it?

Important to know: Nail fungus infections are more than just a cosmetic problem, because they are contagious and do not heal by themselves. Without particularly thorough treatment, the infection slowly spreads further and further in the nail - more precisely in the nail bed. An untreated nail fungus can eventually lead to the loss of the nail and the destruction of the nail bed. In addition, the infection can spread to other nails and also to the skin. With an effective therapy, however, a nail fungus infection can be successfully treated in most cases.
The following applies: The earlier nail fungus is detected, the easier and faster it can be treated.

The solution

ACTIVE SUBSTANCE BOOST

The area of application of MICLAST nail polish is the treatment of mild to moderate nail fungus infestation (onychomycosis) of the fingernails and toenails. The active ingredient ciclopirox penetrates the nail and kills the fungi. After applying the nail polish, an ACTIVE SUBSTANCE BOOST unfolds: the solvent evaporates and the active substance concentration increases from 8% to 34.8%. The high concentration of active ingredient ensures that the active ingredient quickly penetrates the nail and thus thoroughly frees it from nail fungus.

What are the advantages of MICLAST ® nail polish and the active ingredient ciclopirox it contains?

• After applying the paint, the solvent evaporates, the concentration of the active substance increases to 34.8%.

• Reliable penetration with depot effect
• There is still sufficient active ingredient in the nail up to 2 weeks after the end of treatment •

• Active ingredient boost from 8% to 34 .8%
• Short duration of treatment
• Recommended duration of treatment: usually 3-6 months

Without filing:

Simply clean the nail polish once a week with standard nail polish remover to ensure optimal penetration of the active ingredient.
Invisible:

MICLAST ® is transparent and not water-soluble. The active ingredient remains on the nail after showering or bathing and continues to work there.

The duration of treatment depends on the severity of the fungal nail infection and is usually 3 (fingernails) to 6 (toenails).

ADDITIONAL TIP: Prepare with ONYSTER

nail set Fungal nail infections should not only be treated quickly with an antimycotic, they should also be used consistently until the infection has healed and a healthy nail has grown back. If the nail fungus symptoms are treated too briefly or incorrectly, the existing fungal pathogens can trigger a new infection.

The resistant fungal spores in particular are a problem here. They can survive for a long time not only in nails or skin, but also on textiles and objects. In order to achieve faster therapeutic success, it is recommended to painlessly remove the nail affected by the fungus with a 40 percent urea ointment such as the ONYSTER ® nail set.

The previous removal of the nail site affected by the fungus is the best prerequisite for further treatment with an antifungal agent (antifungal). Treatment with the ONYSTER ® nail set can soften the nail parts affected by the fungus and loosen them from the nail bed. This allows easy removal of the affected part of the nail prior to antifungal therapy.
