RECOMMENDATIONS MOMETAHEXAL hay fever spray FOR USE:
MometaHEXAL ®Hay fever spray should be used regularly once a day during the pollen season. Use two sprays in each nostril for the first few days. Once symptoms such as sneezing, runny or stuffy nose are under control, a lower dose of one spray per nostril may be sufficient.
Tip for severe hay fever: Spray the allergy spray into your nose at the first sign of hay fever symptoms to be able to breathe deeply again quickly.
In order for the active ingredient to have an optimal effect in the nose, it is important to use the correct spraying technique.
Step 1:
Shake the bottle before use. Clean your nose carefully. Then take the bottle and remove the protective cap.
Step 2:
Now close one nostril and insert the nose piece about 1 cm deep into the other nostril. It is best to spray while standing and look at your feet. Hold the bottle upright and pointing slightly outwards, not towards the nasal septum. It is best to spray with the left hand into the right nostril and vice versa.
Step 3:
Inhale gently through your nose while simultaneously spraying 1 puff into your nose by triggering the push button ONCE. Exhale through your mouth and repeat this step if necessary. Then repeat steps 2 and 3 for the other nostril.

How is MometaHEXAL ® hay fever spray used?
The recommended dose is 2 sprays in each nostril once a day. Once your symptoms are under control you can reduce the number of sprays to 1 spray into each nostril once a day. If your symptoms worsen again, increase the dose to 2 sprays in each nostril once a day. The nasal spray works for 24 hours. Pay attention to the correct application, it is best to spray while standing, tilting your head slightly forward and holding the bottle upright. Important: Do not spray in the direction of the nasal septum, but parallel to it. It is best to spray with the left hand into the right nostril and vice versa.
When and how long should MometaHEXAL ® hay fever spray be used?
If you suffer severely from hay fever, treatment should begin a few days before the start of the pollen season. It is very important that you use your nasal spray regularly, preferably at the same time each time. In some patients, MometaHEXAL ® Hay Fever Spray can relieve symptoms as early as 12 hours after the first dose; however, the full effect of the treatment may only be felt after 2 days. Do not stop treatment even if you feel better unless your doctor tells you to. MometaHEXAL ®Hay fever spray is well tolerated even when used over a longer period of time. The local application also hardly affects the rest of the organism, since only a minimal proportion of the active ingredient passes into the blood. If you do not feel better or worse after 7 days, contact your doctor.
How should MometaHEXAL ® hay fever spray be stored?
Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children. Do not use this medicine after the stated expiry date. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month. Do not dispose drugs in the wastewater or household waste. Do not freeze. After opening MometaHEXAL ®Hay fever spray to be used within 2 months.

Hay Fever Spray • if you are allergic to mometasone furoate or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
• if you have an untreated infection in your nose.
• if you have recently had an operation on your nose or you have injured your nose.
MometaHEXAL ® hay fever spray must not be used in children and adolescents under the age of 18. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.
