The fermented red rice flour in monachol® extra comes from organic farming and is produced through a natural fermentation process with the yeast Monascus purpureus. White rice is cooked, inoculated with the fungus and gets its red color. During the fermentation, valuable ingredients such as monacolins, amino acids, bioflavonoids and unsaturated fatty acids are created. After the rice has been sterilized and ground, monacolin remains as the main ingredient. monasan® is the first supplier of fermented red rice flour in Germany and has almost 30 years of experience in this field.
Recommended dosage:
Take 1 capsule daily before going to bed (night's rest) with plenty of liquid (200-300 ml of water). Different dosages should only be used after consulting your doctor or therapist.

A daily dose of 3 mg or more of monacolins from red yeast rice must not be consumed.
