Vitamin D is called a group of fat-soluble vitamins. The most important of these compounds for calcium metabolism is vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol). With the help of light (UV-B radiation) it can be formed in the skin. Vitamin K2 (menaquinone) is also a fat-soluble vitamin. It is contained in meat and dairy products. D3 and K2 complement each other in their functions: While vitamin D increases the absorption of calcium, K2 complements its function by activating the use of calcium in bones and teeth and preventing calcium deposits in blood vessels.

Note:
This product contains high doses of vitamin D3. It should only be used on the advice of a doctor, for the prophylaxis or treatment of vitamin D deficiency of various causes.
Vitamin D levels can be assessed using blood tests. During long-term treatment, calcium levels in the blood and urine as well as kidney function should be monitored. This also applies to the use of high-dose vitamin D supplements.
