What is myrrh tincture Hofmann's® and what is it used for?
Hofmann's® myrrh tincture is a herbal medicinal product for the treatment of inflammation in the mouth and throat.
How should myrrh tincture Hofmann's® be used?
Always use Hofmann's® myrrh tincture exactly as directed in this leaflet. Please check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Unless otherwise prescribed, the affected mucosal areas are dabbed with the tincture 2 to 3 times a day or 5-10 drops of tincture are added to a glass of water for gargling or rinsing.
Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of myrrh tincture Hofmann's® is too strong or too weak.
If you have used myrrh tincture Hofmann's® incorrectly or overdosed:
Taking large amounts of myrrh tincture Hofmann's® can lead to alcohol poisoning, especially in small children. In this case, there is a risk of death, which is why a doctor must be consulted immediately.
If the entire contents of the bottle are taken, approx. 20.4 g (30 ml) or 34 g (50 ml) of alcohol will be consumed.
Duration of use:
In principle, the use is not limited.
If signs of illness appear, a doctor should be consulted. Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of Isopropyl alcohol 70% (v/v) Hofmann's® is too strong or too weak.

For oral mucosa: Drop the medicine on the oral mucosa.

How does the ingredient in the drug work?
The ingredients come from the myrrh plant and act as a natural mixture. About the plant itself:

In addition to the "medicinal effect", myrrh is used as an additive in soaps, toothpaste and mouthwash.
