Natto has been the basis of the Japanese diet for over 2000 years. Natto is made from cooked soybeans that are fermented using a bacterial culture (Bacillus subtilis). This process produces an enzyme called nattokinase.

Nattokinase has its origins in a traditional Japanese delicacy made from fermented soybeans called “natto”. Natto is considered to take a lot of getting used to when it comes to our sense of taste and smell. The concentration of the key enzymes is very uneven in the normal natto dish, which is why this standardized and tasteless product in capsule form was developed from natto. The basis for our "Nattokinase" product is the enzyme nattokinase from the natto culture.
