Action: The derivative nitrofuran antibacterial activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria (also resistant to penicillin and sulfa) also acts on some of protozoa (such as Trypanosoma ). It is a potent bacteriostatic activity by inhibiting bacterial enzymes, such as for Staphylococcus aureus , Escherichia coli , Streptococcus pyogenes . Does not work on Pseudomonas aeruginosa .
