octenisept® Gel: Fast
relief for acute wounds and minor burns. octenisept®
Gel is ideal for treating skin injuries such as grazes and cuts, and superficial burns like sunburn. This healing hydrogel is very well tolerated and does not sting – so it can also be used safely on children. All the benefits of octenisept® Gel at a glance: • Accelerates the healing process for acute wounds and minor burns • Forms a protective layer against germs • Moisturizes the wound • Reduces scarring • Is particularly well tolerated • Has a pleasant cooling effect and relieves itching • Does not sting • Suitable for adults and children. When can I use octenisept® Gel ? For wounds to heal optimally, they should be adequately moisturized. Skin cells need to be able to divide and migrate for the healing process to occur. This is best achieved in a moist wound environment. The wound must also be protected from infection. Octenisept® Gel has a wide range of applications . Its special formula optimally moisturizes the wound and forms a protective layer against bacteria. This protective layer prevents germs from penetrating the wound, as they are inactivated within the gel. Octenisept® Gel thus protects against infections and inflammation. Natural wound healing is promoted and accelerated in this way. Scarring is reduced. Octenisept® Gel also cools sun-damaged skin and relieves the itching of mosquito bites. Octenisept® Gel is colorless and does not sting upon application. How do you use Octenisept® Gel correctly ? First , rinse any wound with clean tap water. You can also use bottled water when you 're out and about. Next , it's advisable to examine the wound more closely. If you discover a foreign object, such as a splinter, in the wound, it must be carefully removed with tweezers. After that, it's time to disinfect the affected area of skin with a disinfectant spray such as octenisept® wound disinfectant. This is especially important for wounds that are contaminated with dirt or pathogens, for example, from a fall outdoors or a cut with a kitchen knife.
Then, cover the wound with a thin layer of octenisept® Gel . Ensure that the tip of the gel tube does not touch the wound or any other surface. Otherwise, pathogens could enter the tube. If necessary, the affected area can be covered with a bandage or plaster. However, this is not strictly necessary, as the gel already provides a reliable barrier against dirt and pathogens.
The gel can be applied once or twice daily as needed until the wound has completely healed.
How does octenisept® Gel work ? The
special formula of octenisept® Gel promotes wound healing in two ways: Firstly, it optimally moisturizes the wound, and secondly, the gel layer protects against pathogens. Why
is this dual function so important?
A moist environment is essential for the natural wound closure process to proceed without disruption. A protective layer prevents germs from penetrating the open tissue.
octenisept® Gel renders pathogens harmless within one minute. This is how the gel protects against infections and inflammation. What should be considered when using octenisept® Gel ? Care must be taken to ensure that the octenisept® Gel is not injected into the tissue under pressure, for example, using a syringe. Octenisept® Gel should not be used if you have an allergy or suspect an allergy to any of the ingredients .
