Oleum Petrae comp., Oily liniment

Composition:
10 g (11 ml) contain: Amygdalae oleum virginale 7.00 g, D-Camphor 0.40 g, Cera flava 0.50 g, Petroleum rectificatum 2.00 g, Phosphorus 0.001 g. Other ingredient: Refined peanut oil. Contains peanut oil.

Indications:
According to anthroposophical knowledge of man and nature. These include: Stimulating the formative forces through heat organization in chronic deforming joint diseases, e.g., joint inflammation (non-acute arthritis), joint deformity (arthrosis).

Contraindications:
Oleum Petrae comp. must not be used:

• in children under 12 years of age.
• on damaged skin, e.g. burns.
• if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to any of the active ingredients, peanut or soy.

Dosage and method of application:
Unless otherwise prescribed, rub 2 to 3 ml of oil into the affected area once daily, depending on the area of the body, then wrap the area in a woolen cloth.

Duration of application:
Treatment of an acute illness should be completed after 2 weeks. If there is no improvement within 2 to 5 days, consult a doctor. The duration of treatment for chronic illnesses requires consultation with a doctor. If a child accidentally swallows Oleum Petrae comp., you should consult a doctor immediately who can administer the necessary treatment. Do not attempt to induce vomiting!

Side effects:
Peanut oil can rarely cause severe allergic reactions. In sensitized patients, Oleum Petrae comp. can trigger hypersensitivity reactions (contact dermatitis or shortness of breath).
