Olive leaves + Crataegus GPH capsules

The hawthorn (Crataegus) belongs to the rose family (Rosaceae) and is found in the temperate zones of the northern and southern hemispheres, as well as in the high mountains of the tropics. Various hawthorn parent plants are used: Crataegus laevigata (two-stemmed hawthorn), Crataegus monogyna (single-stemmed hawthorn), Crataegus pentagyna (five-stemmed hawthorn), Crataegus nigra (dark hawthorn), and Crataegus azarolus (azarol thorn). The hawthorn grows as a shrub or tree with hard wood, grows two to eight meters tall, and is popular for its white blossoms. The branches are heavily thorny, which is why the hawthorn is also called "Hagedorn" (Middle High German "hag" for thorn bush) and is a popular hedge plant. The hawthorn was first mentioned as a medicinal plant in European culture in the first century AD. It is also a component of traditional Chinese medicine. Its constituents include oligomeric procyanidins and flavonoids, which are particularly found in the flowers. The main components are hyperoside and rutoside, along with glycosylflavones. Other constituents include neutral polysaccharides, triterpenes, small amounts of biogenic amines, sterols, aminopurines, and phenolic acids.

The olive tree (Olea europaea) , also called the olive tree, from the olive family (Oleaceae) is native to the Mediterranean region. Olive cultivation was already widespread in Roman Imperial times. The olive tree is an evergreen tree with a gnarled, twisted trunk and a heavily branched, spreading crown. The leaves are dark green on the upper side, while the underside is shimmeringly hairy. Although an olive tree grows very slowly, it lives to a very old age and is not affected by drought or high temperatures. In the Bible, the olive branch represents hope and new life. Its known ingredients are secoiridoid glycosides (with the main component oleuropein), triterpene acids, phenolic compounds, flavonoids, and biflavonoids. The comparatively low incidence of cardiovascular disease in Mediterranean countries compared to other countries is due not only to the consumption of fresh fruit and vegetables, but also to the high consumption of olive oil as the main source of fat.

Hawthorn + Olive Leaves GPH capsules contain 120 mg of hawthorn leaf and flower extract with 2.3 mg of flavonoids and 265 mg of olive leaf extract with at least 30 mg of oleuropein in a hard gelatin capsule. The heart and circulatory system are challenged daily. The heart performs an extremely demanding job, supplying the body with oxygen and nutrients through the blood to every cell, as well as absorbing carbon dioxide and waste products. Exhaustion, lack of energy, fatigue, and circulatory problems can be signs of a weak cardiovascular system. Especially during times of increased stress, it can be beneficial to support the heart and vascular system through a diet with hawthorn and olive leaves.

Raw material description:
The hawthorn extract used is obtained from the leaves and flowers of the hawthorn plant and contains flavonoids calculated as hyperosides. The olive leaf extract has a defined oleuropein content. It retains its natural aroma and typical flavor thanks to a particularly gentle manufacturing process. No additives such as preservatives, colorings, or flavorings are used in production. The gelatin used in the hard gelatin capsules is BSE/TSE-tested pharmaceutical gelatin.
