• A unique composition of ingredients recommended as a supplement to the daily diet for women when planning pregnancy and in the first months of pregnancy. Omegamed Optima Start dietary supplement contains iodine, vitamin D, DHA acid and a source of Actifolin folate.

Omegamed Optima Start ingredients:

Oil from the microalgae Schizochytrium sp. containing DHA (Life's DHA® docosahexaenoic acid) [algae oil; high-oleic sunflower oil; aroma; antioxidants: mixture of tocopherols, fatty acid esters and L-ascorbic acid]; a substance that thickens mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids; emulsifier: lecithins; cholecalciferol (vitamin D); glucosamine salt of (6S)-5-methyltetrahydrofolic acid (folic acid - active form); pteroylmonoglutamic acid (folic acid); potassium iodate (iodine); capsule shell: gelatin; humectant: glycerol; dye: iron oxides and hydroxides.

Content of ingredients in one capsule (recommended daily dose):Actifolin®: folic acid active form - 400mg (200% RWS), folic acid (pteroylmonoglutamic acid) - 400mcg (200% RWS); iodine - 200mcg (133% RWS), vitamin D - 50mcg (2000 IU; 1000% RWS), DHA acid - 200mg.

Action of Omegamed Optima Start:

Omega Optima Start dietary supplement contains a complex source of Actifolin folates, which consists of folic acid and the active form of folic acid, and also contains iodine, vitamin D and DHA acid. Importantly, DHA is obtained from algae (Life's DHA). Due to the fact that it is not an ingredient derived from fish, the preparation does not increase nausea. DHA acid supports the development of the brain and eyes in the fetus and breastfed children, and the beneficial effect of the acid occurs with a daily intake of this ingredient in an amount of 200 mg above the daily recommended intake for DHA and EPA acid, which is 250 mg. Folic acid is a very important ingredient in the diet of women planning to become pregnant and pregnant women, as it reduces the risk of developing neural tube defects. The beneficial effect of folic acid occurs with a daily intake of 400 mcg during the period of at least one month before conception and up to 3 months after conception.
