Diamond V is a US company that has developed a special microbially fermented yeast extract that is sold to farmers, veterinary clinics and more.
In the late 1990s, Diamond V's insurance company found that its employees were taking less sick leave compared to other companies. This initiated a study and to understand the low absenteeism rate, several pilot studies were conducted. The results showed that production workers who were directly exposed to this yeast extract had measurably improved immune scores compared to employees working in administration.
