What is OPC?
Over 400 years ago, Jacques Cartier, a French explorer, and his crew were strengthened by an Indian with an extract from the bark and needles of a tree during an expedition in North America after they had almost had to give up the venture due to nutritional deficiencies.

This popular application has been scientifically investigated since the 1950s by the pharmacologist Professor J. Masquelier and his team in France. He isolated a specific group of active substances from the maritime pine (Pinus pinaster) and from the seeds of grapes, called oligomeric proanthocyanidins, or OPC for short.

Vitamin C is an important antioxidant and has numerous functions in the body. It increases iron absorption and contributes to the regeneration of the reduced form of vitamin E, a reduction in tiredness and fatigue, and normal energy metabolism. Vitamin C also contributes to normal psychological function and normal functioning of the nervous system. It also helps protect cells from oxidative stress.
