Oralpädon® 240 Apple-Banana :
Oralpädon® contains glucose and electrolytes in an optimal composition and supplies the body with the ideal balance of salts, minerals, and glucose. Rapidly improves general well-being. For oral electrolyte and fluid replacement (compensation for salt and water loss) in cases of diarrhea. Diarrhea is a digestive disorder in which stool volume increases due to fluid. The number of bowel movements also increases. The resulting loss of water and minerals leads to severe weakness. Diarrhea can be caused, for example, by food intolerance . Far more common are infectious diarrheas caused by viruses or bacteria, for example, during travel. Diarrhea can also be psychologically induced and occur during stress, anxiety, or excitement (such as exams). Diarrhea is the most frequent cause of fluid and electrolyte imbalances. This often has serious consequences, especially for children, because they have a three to four times higher fluid turnover than adults and therefore suffer correspondingly greater mineral and fluid losses when they have diarrhea. For this reason, any fluid loss must be replaced immediately and correctly.

The key feature is that the oral rehydration solution contains a balanced electrolyte concentration tailored to the child's needs. The absorption of these electrolytes from the intestine is supported by the presence of glucose (sugar). Oralpädon® contains glucose and electrolytes in an optimal composition.

• Suitable for infants and children, as well as adults
• Replenishes lost water and electrolytes
• Provides the body with the optimal composition of salts, minerals, and glucose
• Rapidly improves general well-being

Instructions for use:
The amount of liquid in which one sachet of Oralpädon® is to be dissolved must be precisely adhered to, otherwise the optimal composition of salts, sugar, and fluid will not be achieved and electrolyte imbalances in the body could occur. The solution should only be prepared immediately before administration. Do not use any unused solution after 1 hour at room temperature. If stored in the refrigerator, it is usable for a maximum of 24 hours. Do not boil the prepared solution! If nausea or vomiting occurs, Oralpädon® should be sipped slowly until the required dose is reached.

Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, the recommended dose is:

Infants and toddlers: 3 to 5 (or more, if necessary) sachets in 24 hours.
Children: 1 sachet after each bowel movement.
Adults: 1 to 2 sachets after each bowel movement.

Duration of use:
Children and adults should take Oralpädon® until the diarrhea subsides, but for no longer than 36 hours. If the diarrhea persists longer, consult a doctor again. The duration of Oralpädon® use in infants and toddlers is determined by the treating physician. It is usually 6-12 hours and should not exceed 24 hours.

Dosage:
Infants and toddlers: 3-5 sachets in 24 hours, corresponding to one to one and a half times the daily fluid intake.
Children: 1 sachet after each bowel movement.
Adults: 1-2 sachets after each bowel movement.
