Prunus armeniaca, the apricot, has been a sought-after supplier of important vital substances for thousands of years, especially in Central Asia. The American, Dr. Ernst T. Krebs Junior, discovered the active ingredient pangamate in apricot kernel powder in 1938.

The intense color of fresh apricots is evidence of the fruit's richness in a variety of carotenoids. In addition to carotenes, it also contains active amounts of niacin, folic acid, pantothenic acid, bioflavonoids and vitamin C.

Vitamin B 15, also called pangamic acid, DMG, dimethylglycine.

Side effects: Vitamin B 15 should only be taken in small amounts in people with known high blood pressure. In addition, vitamin B 15 should not be taken during pregnancy or breastfeeding and should only be taken in children under medical supervision.
