RC-Cornet ® Basic Cornet Breathe

easier with the RC-Cornet
Diseases of the lower respiratory tract are usually associated with a narrowing of the bronchi. Those affected complain of stubborn secretion, have problems coughing up bronchial mucus, shortness of breath and coughing. The RC-Cornet treats these symptoms physically. In addition to drug therapy, respiratory physiotherapy with the so-called basic cornet is a central component in the treatment of chronic diseases of the lower respiratory tract such as COPD and cystic fibrosis.

The RC-Cornet belongs to the group of oscillating PEP devices (OPEP): When you exhale into the mouthpiece, a positive pressure (PEP) is created that massages the mucous membranes. As a result, the bronchi are widened and the secretion in the lungs is loosened, liquefied and transported away. Regular training is crucial for the success of airway therapy.

RC Cornet nasal Flexible application and easy cleaning
The respiratory therapy device effectively frees stuck bronchial mucus, reduces shortness of breath and coughing and should be used two to three times a day for between three and five minutes. It can be used in any body position, and breathing physiotherapy while lying down is also possible. Cleaning is very easy: The basic cornet can be boiled and cleaned in the vaporiser or with the RC-Clean cleaning bag in the microwave. In the clinic, it can be reprocessed with steam sterilization up to 134 ° C (autoclave).

RC Cornet nasal One device - various treatment options
With various settings on the mouthpiece, the basic cornet offers two treatment options:
1. Widen narrowed airways and train bronchial muscles
The respiratory physiotherapy device works against constricted bronchi and inflammation of the lower airways. By changing pressure with applied pressure fluctuations, even the smallest, clogged airways down to the alveoli are reached. By widening them, blockages are loosened and parts of the alveoli are reactivated. Regular respiratory physiotherapy significantly eases breathing and thus improves quality of life.
2. Loosen bronchial mucus and make expectoration easier
Thick mucus in the bronchi and a strong, unproductive cough are side effects of various diseases of the lower respiratory tract. Treatment with the respiratory physiotherapy device loosens the annoying bronchial mucus from the bronchial walls and liquefies it. The dissolved bronchial mucus can be effectively coughed up.

RC Cornet nasal Accessories for extended use
The basic cornet can be extended with accessories as required: Combined with an RC-Cornet adapter with mouthpiece (T-piece), breathing therapy can be supplemented with inhalation therapy using a nebuliser. This improves the drug deposition and the total duration of therapy is reduced. In conjunction with the RC mask tracheostoma, the respiratory therapy device is also suitable for tracheostomized patients.
