Sage was already known as an effective medicinal plant in the Middle Ages and was brought across the Alps by monks. The tea for drinking as well as for rinsing or gargling has an antibacterial effect and is therefore the product of choice for sore throats and sore throats of all kinds.

Unless otherwise prescribed, a cup of the tea infusion prepared as follows is drunk 3 to 4 times a day: 1 teaspoon full (approx. 1.5 g) or the corresponding amount of sage leaves in one or more infusion bags Pour boiling water (approx. 150 ml) over it and pour it through a tea strainer after approx. 10 to 15 minutes. For use in the mouth and throat area, a tea infusion prepared as follows is used for rinsing or gargling: Generously sized 1 1/2 teaspoons (approx. 2.5 g) of sage leaves are poured over with boiling water (approx. 100 ml) and then poured over Put through a tea strainer for about 10 to 15 minutes.
