Diarrhea can have many causes. For example, it can occur as a drug side effect when using antibiotics or anti-inflammatory drugs, caused by viruses (including norovirus, rotavirus) and bacteria (including Escherichia coli, salmonella) or food intolerances (including gluten, lactose). Traveller's diarrhea is one of the most common travel illnesses when traveling. It is estimated that 70% of international travelers suffer from diarrhea during or after their trip. The contents of a sachet are dissolved in 200 ml of boiled, cooled water or tea and drunk warm or cold. The individual duration of use depends on the doctor's instructions. For infants and small children, it usually lasts 6-12 hours, up to a maximum of 24 hours.
Infants:
If you omit any food for 24 hours, drink 120-150 ml per kg / body weight. The amount you drink per hour should be approx. 10 ml / kg of body weight. The daily amount should be limited to 6 sachets in infants.
Small children, school children and adults:
drink the contents of the bag several times a day as required, dissolved in 200 ml of liquid. Adults with severe diarrhea can drink up to 4 liters of Saltadol® throughout the day. This corresponds to an amount of 20 bags.
