- The preparation is a tear substitute for dry eyes (synthetic tear fluid).
- It is used to replace tear fluid in the case of impaired tear production and for the symptomatic treatment of dry eyes.

- Always use this medicine exactly as described or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor, pharmacist or nurse if you are not sure.

The recommended dose is:
- Dry eye therapy requires individual dosing.
- Depending on the severity and nature of the symptoms, drip 1 drop into the conjunctival sac 3 to 5 times a day or more frequently and about 30 minutes before going to bed.

Use in children and adolescents up to 18 years
- Safety and efficacy at the dose recommended for adults is assumed based on clinical experience. However, there is no data from clinical studies.

- The preparation is suitable for long-term therapy.
- An ophthalmologist should be consulted when treating dry eyes, which is usually carried out as long-term and permanent therapy.

If you use more than you should:
- There are no known specific overdose reactions.

If you forgot an application,
- Do not use double dose. Continue the therapy at the next planned time with the same dosage and at the same time interval/rhythm as described or as prescribed by the doctor. If necessary, you can also use the medicine between two scheduled times or make up for a forgotten application.

If you cancel the application
- If you interrupt the application, you must expect that the typical symptoms of a dry eye will soon appear again. If possible, do not interrupt treatment with the medicine without consulting your doctor.
- If you have any further questions on the use of this medicine, ask your doctor, pharmacist or nurse.

- Tilt your head back. With the index finger of one hand, pull the lower eyelid down. With the other hand, hold the tube vertically over the eye (without touching the eye) and instill a drop into the drawn down conjunctival sac. Slowly close the eye and move it back and forth to distribute the gel well.

A notice:
- To avoid contamination of the dropper tip and eye gel, do not let the dropper tip touch the eyelid, the area around the eye or any other surface.
side effects
- Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Very rare (may affect up to 1 in 10,000 people)
- an intolerance reaction to one of the ingredients may occur.
- Hypersensitivity and intolerance reactions are expressed, for example, by pain, increased tear flow, a foreign body sensation, reddening of the conjunctiva, swelling of the conjunctiva and eyelids or itching (frequency not known).
- As with all eye medicines, blurred vision may occur shortly after the application (frequency not known).
- The preparation contains a preservative that can cause eye irritation (burning, reddening, foreign body sensation) and damage the corneal epithelium, especially if used frequently and over a long period of time.
- If you experience these symptoms, you should prefer preservative-free preparations for the treatment of chronic keratoconjunctivitis sicca (dry eye).
- If hypersensitivity reactions or irritation of the eyes occur, please discontinue treatment and consult your doctor.
- If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor or pharmacist. This also applies to side effects that are not specified.

Use of the preparation together with other medicines
- Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or using any other medicines, have recently taken or used any other medicines or might take or use any other medicines.
- No specific interactions are known to date.

- However, if you also use other eye drops/eye ointments, an interval of approx. 15 minutes should be observed between them and the product should always be used last.
Contraindications

- if you are allergic to carbomer or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

- If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine.
- No special studies have been carried out on pregnant patients with this preparation.
- However, due to fundamental considerations, the use during pregnancy and lactation should only be carried out after a careful benefit-risk assessment by the doctor.

- Contact lenses should be removed before use. They can be reinserted 15 minutes after instillation of the preparation.

- Since this medicine, even when used as intended, briefly affects visual performance and thus your ability to react, you should not drive, work without a secure footing or operate machines during this time.
