Silimax 70 mg is traditionally indicated for use in conditions following liver damage caused by external toxic factors (including alcohol, plant protection products, xylene, toluene, difficult-to-digest meals, medications). It is also intended for supportive use in symptoms occurring after acute and chronic liver diseases. This medicine is intended for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age.
The active ingredient contains silymarin, an extract from milk thistle fruit, which is a rich source of flavone derivatives (silibinin, silydiamine, silychristin). Silymarin protects the liver from the harmful effects of toxic factors by stabilizing liver cell membranes. Silimax 70 mg is a herbal medicine traditionally used after liver damage, after liver diseases, and after consuming difficult-to-digest meals. The effectiveness of the medicine in these indications is based solely on long-term use and experience.
HOW TO USE:
Use as directed by your doctor or according to the instructions on the leaflet. Take orally, unless your doctor tells you otherwise, after a meal, with water. Recommended dose for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age: usually, one capsule three times daily (210mg of silymarin per day). Symptom severity: two capsules twice daily (280mg of silymarin per day) are recommended. The effectiveness of the drug is based on systematic use. The duration of treatment should be consulted with a doctor; it is usually recommended to continue treatment for four weeks, and in chronic conditions, up to six months. If you feel the effect of the drug is too strong or too weak, consult a doctor.
IMPORTANT:
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients or to plants of the Asteraceae (= Compositae) family. Do not use in the treatment of acute poisoning.
