Sinupret forte are tablets from Bionorica SE. Sinupret forte can be used for chronic inflammation of the sinuses (sinusitis). The 5-plant combination of gentian cowslip dock wort verbena and elderberry is suitable for the treatment of chronic and prolonged sinus infections with rhinitis. The mucus is loosened and the mucous membranes swell for faster well-being. With its high tolerance and its broad spectrum of action, Sinupret is the first choice for treating sinus infections.

Unless otherwise prescribed, adults and adolescents from 12 years of age take 1 coated Sinupret Forte tablet 3 times a day. 1. Take Sinupret Forte whole and with some liquid z. B. A glass of water. 2. The Sinupret Forte tablet can be taken with or without meals.

SINUPRET forte Indication / application

  • The preparation is a herbal medicine for inflammation of the sinuses.
  • The drug is used for acute and chronic inflammation of the paranasal sinuses.

SINUPRET forte dosage

  • Always take the medicine exactly as directed. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
  • Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, the usual dose is:
    • Adults and adolescents from 12 years
      • Single dose: 1 coated tablet
      • Total daily dose: 3 coated tablets (3 times 1 coated tablet)

 

  • Duration of application:
    • The duration of the application is, unless otherwise prescribed: 7-14 days. If there is no improvement by then, please consult a doctor.

 

  • If you take more than you should:
    • If you have taken more medicine than you should, please notify a doctor. This can decide on any necessary measures. The listed side effects may be more pronounced.

 

  • If you forget to take a dose:
    • If you accidentally take too little or forget to take the medicine, do not take about double the amount the next time, but continue as prescribed by your doctor or as described here.

 

  • If you stop taking:
    • As a rule, discontinuing the preparation is harmless.

 

  • If you have any further questions on the use of the medicinal product, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

SINUPRET forte way

  • The medicine is swallowed whole with some liquid (e.g. a glass of water) three times a day (morning, noon, evening).
  • It can be taken with food, with beverages or without food.
  • If you have a sensitive stomach, it is best to take the preparation after meals.

Side effects

  • Like all medicines, the preparation can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
  • When evaluating side effects, the following frequencies are used as a basis:
    • Very common: affects more than 1 in 10 people
    • Common: affects 1 to 10 users in 100
    • Uncommon: affects 1 to 10 users in 1,000
    • Rare: affects 1 to 10 users in 10,000

  • Significant side effects or signs to look out for and what to do if they're affected:
    • Occasionally, gastrointestinal complaints (including stomach pain, nausea) can occur.
    • In rare cases, skin hypersensitivity reactions (rash, reddening of the skin, itching) and severe allergic reactions (swelling of the lips, tongue, throat and / or larynx with narrowing of the airways (angioedema), dyspnoea, facial swelling) can occur.
  • At the first signs of a hypersensitivity reaction, the drug should not be taken again.
  • If side effects occur, the preparation should be discontinued and a doctor should be consulted. The latter can decide on the severity and any further measures that may be required.

Contraindications

  • The medicine must not be taken:
    • If you are allergic (hypersensitive) to gentian root, verbena, sorrel herb, elderflower, primrose flowers or any of the other ingredients of the drug.

  • Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine.
  • Like all medicinal products, the medicinal product should only be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding after the doctor has carefully weighed the benefits and risks.
