MedProtect Film Swab is a skin protectant applicator designed to reliably protect vulnerable or damaged skin from moisture, friction, and irritants. The polymeric solution forms a transparent film that creates a waterproof protective barrier on the skin, especially in areas that can no longer absorb moisture or are particularly fragile.
The skin protectant film provides long-lasting protection for up to 72 hours, reducing the need for frequent reapplication and improving both patient care and comfort. The formulation dries in approximately 30 seconds, allowing for quick and controlled application. It does not affect the adhesion of wound dressings (with adhesive borders) or adhesive fixations, and the absorbency of incontinence products remains fully intact.
MedProtect Film Swab is particularly suitable for smaller areas or precise applications, such as around wounds (wound edge protection) or as part of stoma care. The alcohol-free formula allows for gentle, irritation-free application – even on damaged or very sensitive skin. The transparent film also enables continuous monitoring of the skin's condition.

Application:
HARTMANN MedProtect Film Swab is intended for use on vulnerable or damaged skin to protect it from moisture and external irritants.
Before application, ensure that the skin is clean and completely dry.
Remove the foam applicator from the sachet and apply an even film over the affected area.
If an area is not completely covered, reapply after it has dried (approx. 30 seconds).
In case of skin folds or skin-to-skin contact, separate the skin until the film is completely dry.
Allow the film to dry completely (approx. 30 seconds) before applying a wound dressing (with an adhesive border) or an adhesive fixation.
Reapply with each dressing or product change.
