Sudafed Xylospray DEX for children nasal spray 10ml
- Sudafed Xylospray DEX for children nasal spray is indicated for children over 2 years of age to use to reduce swelling of the nasal mucosa. The medicine contains two active substances xylometazoline hydrochloride and dexpanthenol.
Composition of Sudafed Xylospray DEX for children nasal spray:
Active substances: xylometazoline hydrochloride and dexopanthenol. 1ml solution contains 0.5mg xylometazoline hydrochloride and 50mg dexopanthenol. One dose of nasal spray (0.1ml solution) contains 0.05mg of xylometazoline hydrochloride and 5.0mg of dexopanthenol and excipients: potassium dihydrogen phosphate, disodium phosphate dodecahydrate, water for injections.
Action of Sudafed Xylospray DEX nasal spray for children:
Sudafed Xylospray DEX nasal spray for children is a medicinal product containing xylometazoline hydrochloride and dexopanthenol. Thanks to xylometazoline hydrochloride, the drug works by reducing the blood vessels of the nasal mucosa and reduces swelling. Dexopanthenol helps to accelerate the healing process of wounds, and also protects the nasal mucosa.
Application:
Sudafed Xylospray DEX for children nasal spray indicated for use in reducing mucosal edema in rhinitis, as well as in the treatment of nasal damage; to relieve the symptoms of non-allergic mucositis (vasomotor rhinitis), as well as to treat obstruction of the nasal passages after nasal surgery. Medicine for children between 2 and 6 years old.
Additional information:
Keep the product out of reach of children at room temperature. It is recommended to protect against moisture and light. For hygiene reasons, only one person should use one package.
Contraindications to the use of Sudafed Xylospray DEX nasal spray for children:
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any component of the product. Do not use in the case of dry rhinitis with scab formation (rhinitis sicca). Do not use after transsphenoidal removal of the pituitary gland or after other surgical procedures that involve exposing the dura mater. Do not use below 2 years of age. Do not use during pregnancy and lactation.
Side effects:
Some people may experience side effects while taking this medicine. Uncommon: hypersensitivity reactions (e.g. swelling of the skin and mucous membranes, skin rash, itching); rare: palpitations, tachycardia, hypertension (high blood pressure); very rare: anxiety, difficulty falling asleep, fatigue (drowsiness, sedation), headache, hallucinations (mainly in children), arrhythmias (arrhythmias), swelling of the nasal mucosa (after stopping treatment), nosebleeds, convulsions (mainly in children); not known: burning and dryness of the nose, sneezing.
Dosage of Sudafed Xylospray DEX nasal spray for children:
Use as directed by your doctor or as directed on the leaflet. It is recommended to read the leaflet before use. Recommended dose: one spray in each nostril, used up to three times a day. Do not exceed recommended doses. Dosage should be adjusted according to the patient's sensitivity and clinical response. It is not recommended to use the drug for more than 7 days. Resuming the application can take place only after a few days break. It can only be used in children under adult supervision. In the absence of improvement or worsening of symptoms after 3 days of using the spray, consult a doctor.
