Tantum Verde Duo 1.5 mg + 5 mg/ml is an anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antiseptic spray for use in the mouth and throat. Tantum Verde Duo is a clear, colorless to slightly yellow solution in a 15 ml plastic bottle with a foldable tube for precise dosing. The
active
ingredient in Tantum Verde Duo spray is benzydamine hydrochloride, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), and cetylpyridinium chloride, both of which have anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antiseptic properties. The medication acts locally on the mouth and throat and is intended for short-term use in adults, adolescents, and children over 6 years of age. One pack of the solution is sufficient for approximately 150 doses.
Indications:
Tantum Verde Duo is indicated in adults, adolescents, and children over 6 years of age for short-term, supportive local treatment of: anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antiseptic irritation of the throat, mouth, and gums, gingivitis, pharyngitis, and before and after tooth extraction.
Dosage:
Always use this medicine exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If you have any questions, ask your doctor or pharmacist. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Adults (including the elderly) and adolescents over 12 years of age: the recommended dose is 1-2 sprays. Repeat the dose 3 to 5 times a day. Leave at least 2 hours between doses. Children 6 to 12 years of age: the recommended dose is 1 spray. Repeat the dose 3 to 5 times a day. Leave at least 2 hours between doses. Tantum Verde Duo should not be used in children under 6 years of age.
Method of administration:
Turn the nozzle and press the spray button 1-2 times as shown in the picture in the leaflet: When using the product for the first time, press the pump button at least four times until an even spray is obtained. Do not inhale the medicine. Hold your breath while spraying. For best results, do not use Tantum Verde Duo immediately before or after brushing your teeth (see section "Warnings and precautions").
