  • The medicine contains an extract from ginkgo leaves.
  • It is applied
    • For the symptomatic treatment of mental loss of performance caused by organic brain conditions. It is used as part of an overall therapeutic concept in the case of a progressive decline or loss of acquired intellectual abilities (dementia syndrome) with the main complaints: memory disorders, concentration disorders, depression, dizziness, ringing in the ears, headaches.
      • The individual response to the medication cannot be predicted.
      • Before starting treatment with this medicinal product, it should be clarified whether the symptoms are not due to an underlying disease that is specifically to be treated.
    • To extend the pain-free walking distance in the case of arterial occlusive disease in the limbs, so-called "intermittent claudication" (intermittent claudication in stage II according to FONTAINE) as part of physical-therapeutic measures, in particular walking training.
    • In the case of dizziness as a result of circulatory disorders or age-related regression processes (vertigo of vascular and involutive genesis).
      • For the supportive treatment of noises in the ears as a result of circulatory disorders or age-related regression processes (tinnitus of vascular and involutive genesis).
  • Frequently occurring dizziness and ringing in the ears generally need to be clarified by a doctor. In the event of sudden hearing loss or hearing loss, a doctor should be consulted immediately.

  • Always take the medicine exactly as directed. Please ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
  • Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, the usual dose is:

      • Adults aged 18 and over should take 1 - 2 film-coated tablets 3 times a day (corresponding to 40 to 80 mg ginkgo extract 3 times a day).

      • Adults aged 18 and over should take 1 film-coated tablet 3 times a day (equivalent to 40 mg ginkgo extract 3 times a day) or 2 film-coated tablets 2 times a day (equivalent to 80 mg ginkgo extract twice a day).
    • For dizziness and for the supportive treatment of ringing in the ears:
      • Adults aged 18 and over should take 1 film-coated tablet 3 times a day (equivalent to 40 mg ginkgo extract 3 times a day) or 2 film-coated tablets 2 times a day (equivalent to 80 mg ginkgo extract twice a day).
  • Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect of this medicine is too strong or too weak.
  • Children and adolescents
    • The medicine is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18.

       

       

  • How long should you use the preparation?
    • For performance disorders caused by organic brain:
      • The duration of treatment should be at least 8 weeks. After a treatment period of 3 months, the doctor must check whether the continuation of the treatment is still justified.
    • For peripheral arterial occlusive disease:
      • The improvement in walking distance requires a treatment duration of at least 6 weeks.
    • If you are dizzy:
      • Use over a longer period than 6 to 8 weeks does not improve the treatment result.
    • For ringing in the ears:
      • Supportive care should be given over a period of at least 12 weeks. If there is no success after 6 months, this is no longer to be expected even after longer treatment.

         

         

  • If you take more than you should:
    • Symptoms of overdose are not yet known. The side effects may become worse if you take more of the medicine. Please notify your doctor. This can decide on any necessary measures.

 

  • If you forget to take a dose:
    • Next time do not take about double the amount, but continue taking as prescribed by your doctor or as described in the leaflet.

  • Taking with other medicines
