C + V Ultrasound Gel

The contact gel is a non-sterile, water-soluble and non-staining gel that is intended exclusively for external use and can be used with commercially available ultrasound devices.

Areas of application:
The contact agent for ultrasound therapy and diagnostics can be used on intact, undamaged skin to achieve the most loss-free transition from the transducer to the body. The contact gel is intended for use by medical professionals. Based on available knowledge, there are no exclusions for certain patient groups.

/> Application:
Spread the required amount of gel on the skin surface of the body region to be examined and/or on the ultrasound probe. Carry out the ultrasound examination/therapy. Then remove the gel from the ultrasound probe and the patient/body region with a soft cloth.

Shelf life 6 months after opening.

Contraindication:
The gel is intended exclusively for external use and should not be used for the following applications

: • Invasive procedures in which a device is inserted through the tissue.
• Any procedures on or near damaged skin.

Ingredients:
Aqua, Glycerin, Carbomer, Sodium Hydroxide, Propylene Glycol, Benzyl Alcohol, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, Citric Acid.

SAFE USE ADVICE / Precautions:
In rare cases, contact gels may cause temporary skin irritation in sensitive individuals. Allergies should be discussed with the patient beforehand.
To avoid contamination, do not allow the tips of the containers/tubes to come into contact with patients, staff, or instruments.
Discard the product if the packaging is damaged or shows signs of contamination.
Wipe the rocker arm after use. For dispensers and refill containers, follow the enclosed instructions for use or your facility's protocol if they differ.

You should report any serious incident involving ultrasound gel to the manufacturer (email: qm@cundv.de) and your competent authority.
