Unike Injekt forte solution for injection
Areas of application
Unike®-Injekt forte serves as a substitute for synovial fluid. Restores the physiological and rheological conditions of a painful joint or the restricted mobility in degenerative or traumatic diseases.
Unike®-Injekt forte is a buffered physiological hyaluronic acid, sodium salt solution with viscoelastic properties. Unike®-Injekt forte contains 0.8% highly purified sodium hyaluronate (sodium salt of hyaluronic acid) with a molecular weight between 800 and 1,200 kDalton. The other ingredients are sodium chloride, sodium phosphate and water for injections. Sodium hyaluronate (also called hyaluronan) consists of repeating disaccharide units made from N-acetylglucosamine and sodium glucuronate. It is an essential component of the synovial fluid and gives it its visco-elastic properties. The sodium hyaluronate in Unike®-Injekt forte is obtained by fermentation and is not chemically modified. Unike®-Injekt forte is available in the form of 2.25 ml disposable pre-filled glass syringes, which are pre-filled with 2 ml of solution. The contents of the syringes are sterile and pyrogen-free. In traumatic and degenerative diseases of the joints, the quantity of hyaluronic acid decreases, combined with a reduction in the viscosity of the synovial fluid. This leads to a restriction of joint function and painful symptoms. The intra-articular administration of hyaluronic acid succeeds in restoring the viscoelastic properties of the synovial fluid, combined with a reduction in pain and an improvement in joint mobility. This leads to a restriction of joint function and painful symptoms. Unike®-Injekt forte is very well tolerated and only works in the joints into which it was injected, without developing any systemic effects.
Composition:
1 pre-filled syringe of 2 ml contains 32 mg sodium hyaluronate (sodium component of hyaluronic acid)
Excipients:
sodium chloride, sodium phosphate, water for injections
UNIKE Injekt forte injection, synovial fluid, hyaluronic acid Application:
-
Inject only into the joint space.
-
Intra-articular injection of 2 ml Unike®-Injekt forte once a week for a period of three weeks, depending on the therapist's assessment and the patient's state of health.
-
If further treatment cycles are necessary, it makes sense to take a break of six months. Depending on the therapist's judgment and the patient's state of health, it is possible to treat several joints at the same time. Remove any existing joint effusion before injecting Unike®-Injekt forte.
