To prevent skin irritation and at the first signs of irritation and redness, apply TENA Barrier Cream in a thin layer to the skin in the intimate area each time you change your incontinence pad or adult diaper. The water-repellent formula effectively protects the skin from the next episode of incontinence. The transparent composition also allows the skin's appearance to be assessed after application.

What do I need to care for an incontinent relative?
The skin of older people is already very sensitive and no longer so resistant to external influences. In addition, the urine can attack the acid mantle of the skin. Normally harmless bacteria and fungi can then no longer be warded off and can cause an unpleasant skin rash or infection.
