GALL PHARMA nettle leaves 250 mg GPH capsules
The large nettle (Urtica dioica) belongs to the nettle family (Urticaceae). This typical ruderal plant grows everywhere. There are hardly any areas or climatic conditions where it does not thrive. The plant sprout in spring. It grows up to 140 cm high. Typical are their heart-shaped leaves, which are densely covered with hair. The hairs are small tubes with sacs filled with formic acid at the lower end. When touched, the tips of the stinging hairs break off, and the acid penetrates the skin through the pores and causes small inflammations. For a long time, the stinging nettle was considered a useless weed. Today, the unrecognized plant is used in many areas due to its ingredients.
Nettle leaves 250 mg GPH capsules contain 250 mg of dry extract of nettle leaves in a hard gelatine capsule. The formic acid is the most well-known of the ingredients in the stinging nettle. However, the plant is rich in vitamins A, C and minerals (silicic acid) as well as chlorophyll, the typical green pigment. In addition, the herb contains iron, plant enzymes and the amines contained in the stinging hairs (including histamine, serotonin and choline).
