WOSCHA VegiPro: Vegan protein powder without soy with important micronutrients - optimally supports the vegan diet
Vegans generally face the problem that some nutrients are insufficient or not present at all in their diet. This particularly affects nutrients that are only found in animal foods. These include vitamin B12, taurine and the amino acids L-cysteine, L-carnitine and creatine.
However, replacing nutrients from animal products with plant-based ones is not easy. This requires a careful diet plan and the constant use of fresh ingredients. But in everyday life, vegans are not necessarily different from "omnivores". After a stressful day at work, they simply turn to "vegan fast food". However, a quick vegetable stir-fry, which hardly contains any vitamins due to the high heat , and a few nuts on the go cannot meet the special nutritional requirements in the long term.
WOSCHA VegiPro is a protein powder without soy that we have developed specifically for the needs of vegans. Its ingredients can compensate for typical nutrient deficiencies in a vegan diet. But it is also a very good alternative for all people who prefer a plant-based protein powder.

In order to ensure a sufficient supply of amino acids, plant proteins always require a combination of two or more types of protein. This gives them a biological value comparable to whey protein.
The pea protein we use (like all pulses) contains a lot of L-lysine, but only a little L-methionine and L-cystine. To compensate, we use pumpkin seed protein and hemp protein from organic farming. They contain all the essential amino acids that our body needs. We have deliberately avoided the cheap soy.
Compared to other plant-based protein sources, VegiPro also has a particularly high proportion of the branched-chain amino acids leucine, isoleucine and valine. These so-called BCAAs (Branched-Chain Amino Acids) are found in abundance in hemp protein and pea protein. They are the only amino acids (like MCT oil from coconut oil) that are not metabolized in the liver, but are immediately available for energy production. This is especially important for athletic vegans during strength and endurance training .
Pumpkin seed protein also contains an extraordinary amount of L-tryptophan and scores highly with a particularly high biological value of 137. This figure indicates how well our body can utilize proteins from the respective food (in comparison: a chicken egg has a value of 100, whey protein 103). The favorable amino acid profile of WOSCHA VegiPro increases bioavailability and reduces the burden on urea metabolism. Our plant-based protein shake also scores highly with many bioactive vitamins .
Important vitamins and minerals for vegans for optimal basic nutrition
It is known that vegans often suffer from a vitamin B12 deficiency , which, among other things, leads to disturbances in the folate balance. This is why VegiPro contains easily digestible vitamin B12 (methylcobalamin) and natural folate instead of artificial folic acid . Vitamin B6 (here as pyridoxine-5-phosphate) is of central importance for protein metabolism and supports the utilization of plant proteins.
As with non-vegans, an additional supply of vitamin D is recommended, especially in the winter months. However, vitamin D2 from plant-based foods is poorly absorbed by our bodies. That is why we use vegan vitamin D3 from Vitamin D3V ® for our protein powder , which has a much better bioavailability.
To round off the nutrient spectrum, WOSCHA VegiPro contains other important vitamins and minerals for vegans. For example, natural beta-carotene (precursor of vitamin A), which comes from a concentrate of the green algae Dunaliella salina, and vitamin C from an acerola cherry extract.
Zinc and iron have been added because they are poorly absorbed from plant foods. To increase their bioavailability, zinc is coupled to the amino acid L-methionine and iron to a bisglycinate. Calcium and magnesium are present in the ideal ratio of 3:1.
MCT oil (from coconut oil) supports the absorption of plant proteins and serves as an energy supplier. The medium-chain fatty acids (medium-chain triglycerides) are absorbed directly into the blood without further metabolism and converted into energy by our cells.
WOSCHA VegiPro tastes good and fills you up
This plant-based protein mixture can be taken with many drinks and foods without dominating the taste (e.g. with fruit juices, smoothies, shakes or even savory dishes). Thanks to the coconut milk powder it contains, it always tastes creamy, even in water . For the neutral, slightly sweet taste, we only use real vanilla flavor and the natural sweetness of stevia .
Each portion contains only 120 kcal (503 kJ) . This makes VegiPro suitable as a meal replacement to support a low-calorie diet . Please ensure you drink enough fluids (approx. 2-3 liters daily)!
Our product does not contain any additives. Unfortunately, our vegan protein powder is not suitable for people who are hypersensitive to pulses.
