Indication :
  • This is a herbal medicine for vein disorders.
  • It is used in adults to treat symptoms of leg vein disease (chronic venous insufficiency), such as pain and heaviness in the legs, night cramps in the calves, itching and swelling of the legs.
  • If you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 4 weeks, contact a doctor.
Dosage :
  • Always take the medicine exactly as described or as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
  • The recommended dose is:
    • Adult:
      • Unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor, adults take 1 slow-release hard capsule daily in the morning and evening (equivalent to 100 mg aescin).
    • children and young people
      • It is not intended for use in children and adolescents under the age of 18.

 

  • Duration of use:
    • Long-term treatment is possible after consulting your doctor.
    • If the symptoms do not improve within 4 weeks of taking the medicine, you should consult a doctor, as leg swelling can also have other causes. Please also note the information in the "Notes to patients" and "Side effects" categories.
  • Please talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have the impression that the effect is too strong or too weak.

 

  • If you take more than you should:
    • If overdosed, the saponins contained in horse chestnut seed extract can intensify the symptom nausea, which is a known side effect, and vomiting and diarrhea are also possible. A doctor should be consulted to decide whether countermeasures are necessary.

 

  • If you forget to take a dose:
    • Do not take a double dose to make up for a forgotten dose.

 

  • If you stop taking:
    • Interrupting or prematurely ending treatment is usually harmless. If in doubt, please ask your doctor or pharmacist.
