- Viscoplast wound cleansing preparation is a medical device that thoroughly cleans a wound and protects it from certain pathogenic microorganisms. It also helps to create optimal conditions, which speeds up the healing process.
Composition:
Contains Prontosan Wound Spray: purified water, surface active betaine, 0.1% polyaminopropyl biguanide (polyhexanidine).
Action:
Multifunctional Wound Cleaning Agent Viscoplast cleans, flushes and moisturizes superficial wounds and skin burns. In this way, it reduces the risk of scar formation and also inhibits unpleasant odors. In addition, the preparation protects against infections (also against microorganisms that are resistant to antibiotics, eg MRSA, VRE, ESBL) and against the formation of biofilms. The liquid can also be used for easier removal of dried dressings. The Viscoplast medical device is well tolerated, does not irritate.
Application:
Medical device Viscoplast Wound cleansing preparation intended for use in the case of surface skin wounds, among others cuts, abrasions, cracks, bites, crushing, cuts, and surface burns.
Additional information:
The preparation dermatologically tested. Keep the product out of reach of children at room temperature. Protect against direct sunlight. It should be used within 12 months of first opening. Discontinue use and consult a physician if redness, swelling or pain in the wound occurs, or if the wound does not begin to heal after a few days of use.
Contraindications:
Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation. Do not use for injections and infusion.
Directions for use:
Cleansing and rinsing the wound: apply the preparation on the whole surface of the wound and on the surrounding skin. In this way, the risk of infection will be reduced, and conditions suitable for initiating the wound healing process will also be created. After application, cover the wound with a sterile dressing. In the case of dried dressings, it should be moistened with the preparation in order to make it easier and painless to remove. The preparation is not recommended to be used without a break for more than 30 days.
