VITAMIN K1 Composition:
Each tablet contains 100 μg of vitamin K1 (Phytomenadione 5%).
VITAMIN K1 Properties:
Vitamin K is the collective name for a group of fat-soluble vitamins that are
required for the biosynthesis of some of the plasma coagulation factors. With vitamin K deficiency, there is an increased risk of impaired blood clotting and bleeding.
There are three forms of vitamin K - Vitamin K1 (also known as phytomenadione) found in some vegetables, Vitamin K2 (or menaquinone), which is produced by the intestinal flora, and the synthetic Vitamin K3 (menadione). Numerous studies show that Vitamin K1 is the most suitable form of vitamin to overcome the phenomena associated with a possible deficiency.
Vitamin K helps maintain normal bone condition.
Normally, the main intake of K vitamins is provided by food (in the form of vitamin K1) and some is produced by intestinal bacteria. Vitamin K1 is found mainly in greens, leafy vegetables such as broccoli, various types of cabbage, spinach, lettuce and others.
