Vitaprompt® injekt B12
Active ingredient: Cyanocobalamin. Composition: 1 ampoule of 1 ml contains 1000 µg cyanocobalamin. Other ingredients: Sodium chloride, hydrochloric acid, water for injection. Indication : Vitamin B12 deficiency that cannot be corrected by diet. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients. Side effects: Very rarely, acne, eczematous, urticarial, and anaphylactic or anaphylactoid drug reactions. Available only from pharmacies. - The drug is usually administered intramuscularly (injected into a muscle). However, it can also be given slowly intravenously or subcutaneously (injected into a vein or under the skin).

The recommended dose is:
- At the start of treatment, 1 ml (1 ampoule) is administered once or twice a week during the first two weeks after diagnosis, corresponding to 1000 - 2000 µg cyanocobalamin per week.
- If a vitamin B12 absorption disorder in the intestine is confirmed , 100 µg of cyanocobalamin is administered once a month.

- This medicine is intended for long-term use.

If a larger quantity was applied
- No cases of poisoning or overdose have been reported.

If the application was forgotten
- A double dose should not be used if the previous dose was forgotten.
