ZIAJA Etodal gel 100 mg/g 50 g

Etodal is a medicine in the form of a gel, it contains etofenamate, which has analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects. Etodal is used in the case of sports injuries (e.g. bruises, sprains, strains, joint pain, rheumatism). The gel has a soothing effect on swelling accompanying the injury.

Ingredients

The active substance of the medicine is etofenamate.
1 g of gel contains 100 mg of etofenamate.
Excipients - propylene glycol, macrogol 400, macrogol oleinocetyl ether, sodium hydroxide, carbomer 980, isopropyl alcohol, purified water.

Dosage

This medicine should always be used exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If in doubt, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Recommended dose - The gel is applied in the form of a strip of about 5 - 10 cm long to the sore spot. The gel is rubbed into the painful area until absorbed. The procedure is repeated 3 to 4 times a day. Treatment of rheumatic ailments usually lasts 3 to 4 weeks, and blunt injuries (e.g. sports injuries) - up to 2 weeks.
If symptoms worsen or do not subside after 7 days, contact your doctor. Do not use the medicine for longer than 2 weeks without consulting your doctor.

Effects

Etofenamate (the active substance of Etodal gel) belongs to a group of drugs called NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs). Etodal has an analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect. It also reduces the release of histamine and stabilizes cell membranes. It leads to inhibition of exudative processes and reduction of swelling.

Indications

Etodal is used in the case of: blunt injuries, such as - bruises, sprains, strains of muscles, tendons and joints; degenerative diseases, spine, knee, shoulder joints; extra-articular rheumatism (lumbar sacroiliac pain, pathological changes in the periarticular soft tissues: bursitis, tendons, tendon sheaths, joint capsules (so-called frozen joint, epicondylitis).

Use of the drug in children and adolescents

The drug should not be used in children and adolescents.
