OmniZink 3 by BOMA Lecithin is a vegan dietary supplement. It contains organic zinc from three different sources: Zinc L-Pidolate, Zinc Citrate, and Zinc Bisglycinate. The use of three different zinc compounds ensures higher bioavailability.

What is zinc?
Zinc is an essential trace element. It cannot be manufactured or stored by the body and must therefore be supplied regularly with food. Zinc is a component of over 300 enzymes, so it's no surprise that it's involved in a number of processes in the body. Zinc is best known as an "immune mineral" because it contributes to the normal functioning of the immune system. Its role in maintaining healthy skin, hair and nails is also well known.
Many animal foods contain zinc, such as beef, pork and poultry, but also crustaceans, fish, eggs, cheese and milk. When consuming plant products, the phytate content is particularly important: Although phytate is an important substance for plants, which is also needed for photosynthesis, it significantly impedes zinc absorption in the human intestine. Vegans in particular should therefore pay attention to their zinc intake.
